Week Three Reflection

Again what a week it has been. Is anyone else having the feeling that they are in need of a really long vacation. This seems to happen to me about this time every year. Right now I am currently in Middletown, Oh visiting some relatives, so my forgive me if my reflection seems vague.

Unlike Diane I enjoyed using the Tabulas this week, and I am looking forward to Monday night’s discussion using Tapped-In. For whatever reason I can not find the transcript for the moo, however I did like the discussion we had about the blogs and etc. I am sure that where there is a will there is a way to make blogs and virtual classrooms (like tapped-in) work for our students. I do like using my blog for my students as well as their parents. It is a great way to get information out to them because we all know that notes and annoucement don’t always make it in the backpacks and to mom or dad’s hand.

I like the tapped in space. This is one that I would like to expierment with my students. I thought about selecting a small group of fifth grade students and expierementing with them using the tapped-in space if that is possible. What do you all think? I think the kids would like it, but I am not sure (I need to think it through a little more) exactly how to go about doing that.

Well I think that is about it for me this week. I hope everyone has had and is having a great weekend because come Monday morning it is back to the old grindstone.

    Kelly,

I’m hearing the beginnings of a teacher research project. Lucky for you, our grant can be used to support that kind of work! As we continue our work, keep thinking about this idea and then let’s talk about pulling it together in the form of a mini-grant.

    Karen.
